With Seafest returning after a two year gap, there was a great buzz of anticipation about this event celebrating our regional seafood sector and, suffice to say, it did not disappoint. This was my first SeaFest in my capacity as the local MP and it was a roaring success with an extremely large number of people attending.
My congratulations go to SeaFest Chair Jimmy Buchan and the team behind the organising of the event who must be delighted with having pulled together such a well-attended event.
We sometimes take for granted just how important the fishing industry and its supply chain is to our North-east communities and there was something for everyone here to reinforce just how many organisations and businesses depend on it, while providing a first-class day out at the same time.
